The Thunder Angels' main event each year is the Annual Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Poker Run in October.  Proceeds from the Poker Run benefit "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer".

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society's premier event to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.  Making Strides is an opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, educate women about breast cancer prevention and early detection, and raise funds and awareness to help achieve a day when no one will have to hear the words “You have breast cancer.” 

The facts about the estimated new cases and deaths from breast cancer in the United States in 2010:

Fact:
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among American women.

Fact:
Approximately 182,460 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in women and 1990 new cases in men.  Of those 40,480 (women)  and 450 (men) will die due to breast cancer this year.

Fact:
Early detection with Treatment saves lives, Mammograms can identify breast cancer at an early stage, usually before symptoms develop.

Fact:
During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Team Thunder Angel renews it's commitment to fight this disease, raise awareness, and help support those affected by breast cancer.
